sanchi is the holy place among the buddist. that structure called "stupa" in sanchrist word. it means "tower". king ashoka have made this stupa to propagate religion.
in stupa, there's 'sari' in it. sari is Budda's coagulation. buddist thinks sari is holy stuff, so ashoka splitted sari into 84,000 pieces, and made each stupa using sari.
